Experts to Guide Performance Management for Employment Services

The Minister for Employment Participation, Brendan O’Connor, said an expert reference group will provide advice to Government on an improved performance management system.

The performance management system aims to get the best outcomes for job seekers from providers of Australian Government employment services.

Local Schools Win Funding for Trade Skills

A joint submission by five local campuses of the Catholic Regional College has received funding in the first phase of the Trade Training Centres in Schools Program.

Federal Government funding has been made available for major capital works to build a new facility that will include a restaurant open to the public with associated infrastructure including kitchens. Students will be able to enrol in Certificate III qualifications in Hospitality, Sign Writing, Picture Framing, Printing and Baking.

11 New Green Corps Projects for Victoria

Projects at Melbourne Zoo and Wodonga’s wetlands are just two of the 11 new Green Corps projects in Victoria, announced today by the Minister for Employment Participation, Brendan O’Connor. 

Mr O’Connor said projects were among 59 new Green Corps projects across Australia, which will help participants gain new skills as well as helping to conserve and restore Victoria’s environment and heritage.
