AN ADDITIONAL $430,000 TO HELP OLDER AND DISABLED GORTON RESIDENTS REMAIN INDEPENDENT
Brendan O’Connor today announced that the Rudd and Brumby Governments will provide a $430,000 funding boost to services to assist older residents and people with a disability in Gorton. 

The funding is for the Home and Community Care (HACC) program which provides services such as home modifications, transport, meals, personal care and allied health and nursing care.

FUNDING FOR BRIMBANK CITY COMMUNITY INFRASTRUCTURE
street_soccer_015Brendan O’Connor, Member for Gorton, today announced The Rudd Labor Government will provide $670,000 for Castley Reserve Sports Pavilion and Community Hub in Sunshine West. 

Mr O’Connor said that the funding, which local residents had been appealing for, would go towards the reconstruction of the Pavilion, including change rooms, a referee room, a social room and a canteen. 

“This ready-to-go community infrastructure project in Brimbank is part of our plan to support jobs in the local community while building infrastructure for the long term,” Mr O’Connor said.
