Funding for Good Shepherd Project in Brimbank |

A Good Shepherd project based in St Albans, which provides support to local families with young children, has been recognised through an extension of Federal Government funding until 30 June 2009.
Federal Member for Gorton Brendan O’Connor said that Good Shepherd Youth and Family Service Inc. has been allocated further funding of $95 000 for its Step Out project under the Federal Government’s Local Answers initiative.

New Computers for Four Local Schools |
|
Four local secondary schools will receive hundreds of new computers as part of the Rudd Government’s $1.2 billion Digital Education Revolution.
The successful schools are Taylors Lakes Secondary College (264 computers), Marian College (217 computers), Caroline Springs College (168 computers) and Gilson College (64 computers) under Round One funding for the National Secondary School Computer Fund.

First Rudd Budget Delivers for Gorton |

Federal Member for Gorton, Brendan O’Connor, says that the Rudd Government’s first Federal Budget has delivered for the people of Gorton.
"Not only does this Budget deliver on Labor’s commitment to give every taxpayer in Gorton a tax cut, it also provides funding for several important local infrastructure projects and institutions," Mr O’Connor said.
